BRIDGING THE GAP... Striker's PARTshare
technology seamlessly shares SolidWorks data!
|
|
Striker’s new PARTshare is a
shared storage technology that allows users of SolidWorks to maintain the
latest revision of 3-D models and corresponding flat parts. Striker’s
sheet metal fabrication software includes a direct interface to the PARTshare
database, thereby providing real-time access to the latest manufacturing data!
What is
PARTshare?
PARTshare is an extension of the standard Striker Part Library system
accessible from all Striker Systems products. PARTshare extends the
networked Striker Part Library into SolidWorks, allowing part data to be
seamlessly shared between applications.
How does PARTshare work?
SolidWorks users can add models to the PARTshare database through the standard
PARTshare interface. When sheet metal models are added to PARTshare, the
user is prompted whether to save the solid model, the unfolded flat part, or
both. Parts added to the PARTshare database are accessible by other
PARTshare users on the network.
