Striker Systems sheet metal CAD/CAM solutions are available in
two versions to meet your specific manufacturing requirements...
|
FAB
Professional
|
|
The FAB Professional product line incorporates each of the Striker
sheet metal CAD/CAM modules into an AutoCAD based solution. This includes
SS-Design, SS-Unfold,
SS-Punch,
SS-Profile, and
SS-Nest. The FAB Professional family of products requires a
license of AutoCAD Release 2004 or later. The FAB Professional modules
"plug-in" to the AutoCAD license creating a unique CAD/CAM environment that is
unsurpassed for sheet metal manufacturing productivity.
|
|
FabCAD
|
For non-AutoCAD users, the
FabCAD product line incorporates each of the Striker sheet metal CAD/CAM
modules into a stand-alone solution. FabCAD includes the
SS-Design, SS-Unfold,
SS-Punch,
SS-Profile, and
SS-Nest product modules. Built on AutoCAD OEM technology, FabCAD
offers that same unsurpassed sheet metal manufacturing functionality as FAB
Professional, but in a stand-alone solution.

The Autodesk Advantage... |
The Striker Systems sheet
metal CAD/CAM products are unique in the metal fabrication industry. Both
FAB Professional (AutoCAD plug-in) and FabCAD (stand-alone) utilize Autodesk's
industry standard AutoCAD technology. This offers many significant
advantages over conventional CAD/CAM systems.
|
 |
Industry
Standard File Format - Striker Systems products use the
industry standard AutoCAD DWG file format. This insures unsurpassed
compatibility with other CAD and CAM software products, many of which read and
write directly to the industry standard DWG format. You can feel
confident knowing that your valuable data is accessible from numerous
applications.
|
 |
Removal
of Data Translations -
Striker Systems provides a truly integrated CAD/CAM solution that supports the
entire manufacturing process from initial part design through the generation of
NC programs with no data translations required. And unlike many
manufacturing software products with limited design capability, Striker Systems
includes an advanced engineering system for the most demanding design
requirements.
|
 |
Industry
Standard Data Translators -
In the event it is necessary to import data from (or export data to) another
CAD software, Striker Systems relies on the standard DXF, IGES, and STEP
translators found in AutoCAD. Autodesk is the author of the DXF file
format and therefore defines this standard. And because AutoCAD is the
most popular CAD software in the world, it is a benchmark for the development
of translators by other CAD software organizations.
|
 |
SolidWorks,
Solid Edge, & Autodesk Inventor Compatibility - The industry is
rapidly embracing solid modeling technology. Being based on Autodesk's
industry standard DWG file format, Striker Systems offers a level of
compatibility not found by other manufacturing solutions. Many products,
such as Inventor and SolidWorks, support Striker's DWG format directly.
And Striker also offers direct OLE links into SolidWorks, Inventor and Solid
Edge for seamless sharing of data.
|
 |
Reduced
Training Time / Cost -
Both the AutoCAD based and stand-alone Striker Systems products provide an
enhanced AutoCAD user interface. Individuals familiar with AutoCAD will
readily adapt to the Striker environment thereby minimizing their learning
curve. And for organizations that use AutoCAD as their CAD solution, it
is not necessary for your employees to learn multiple operating environments as
they would with separate CAD and CAM solutions.
