Striker Systems PARTshare is a shared storage technology that allows Solid Edge users to seamlessly share flat part data with STRIKER CAD/CAM and Nesting software in real-time. PARTshare adds directly into the Solid Edge interface. Individual sheet metal parts or entire assemblies can be released from the Solid Edge modeling environment. As the sheet metal parts are released they are automatically unfolded (as necessary) and placed in the PARTshare library. Critical part data including part number, revision, and material parameters, are maintained to facilitate manufacturing operations.

Once the parts have been placed in the PARTshare library they are immediately available to users of STRIKER CAD/CAM and Nesting software. Parts can be individually programmed or nested for CNC punching and cutting (laser, plasma, oxy-fuel, waterjet, etc.) machines.

• Reduces Data Transfer Time – PARTshare automates the transfer of flat part data from engineering to manufacturing. With just a few mouse clicks PARTshare can transfer all of the parts in a large assembly, automatically unfolding them as necessary. • Seamless / Real-Time Data Sharing – When the Solid Edge designer releases a part or assembly it is immediately available for NC processing. The STRIKER CAD/CAM programmer does not have to import the data, it’s just there.
  
  
• Part / Assembly Validation – As parts and assemblies are extracted the Solid Edge designer is notified of many common problems including missing or invalid material information. This forces these issues to be handled in engineering before they’re passed to manufacturing.
  
  
• Part Revision Control – PARTshare allows part revision information to be extracted and maintained. Safeguards are included to keep parts from inadvertently being overwritten.
  
  
• Layer Support – Solid Edge layers are maintained allowing automation of manufacturing operations in STRIKER CAD/CAM.
  
  
• Network Support – A typical configuration for PARTshare would include several Solid Edge designers and one or two STRIKER CAD/CAM programmers, all accessing a common library.
