STRIKER SYSTEMS OFFERS ENHANCED NESTING INTERFACE
FOR SOLIDWORKS AND AUTODESK INVENTOR

WHITE HOUSE, Tennessee – June 27, 2006 – Striker Systems, an industry leader in the development of sheet metal CAD/CAM and nesting software, is pleased to announce PARTshare 2007.1.

PARTshare is a software plug-in available for both SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor.  It provides a common interface through which sheet metal part information can be placed directly into the Striker Systems nesting library.  Through this process PARTshare provides real-time manufacturing data to multiple users across a network.  Release 2007.1 extends the capability of PARTshare to include assembly level processing and routing control.  Engineers can now release an entire assembly to manufacturing with a routing code dictating which parts are to be made available for nesting.

“Release 2007.1 is an important step in the evolution of PARTshare” states Michael Boggs, Striker Systems Sales Manager.  “In many sheet metal shops the system designed to pass CAD data from engineering to manufacturing is inherently flawed.  The PARTshare concept minimizes data handling and reduces the risk of manufacturing error.”

The PARTshare process is very straightforward.  From the solid modeling environment an individual part or entire assembly is extracted.  Parts are automatically unfolded as necessary and placed into the Striker Systems nesting library.  Critical data including part number, revision level, and routing information is securely transferred.  Bend information is maintained to facilitate bend line marking during CNC punching or cutting operations.  Nest jobs can then be constructed interactively or automatically via electronic production schedule from any computer with access to the network.

PARTshare 2007.1 is slated for release in the fall of 2006.  It will be debuted at the International Machine Technology Show (Booth B-6342), September 6 – 13, 2006 in Chicago, IL.  For additional information on PARTshare or any of the Striker Systems sheet metal nesting and CAD/CAM solutions, please visit the Striker Systems web site at http://www.StrikerSystems.com or contact Striker Systems at 1-800-950-7862.
