WHITE
HOUSE, Tennessee – April 12, 2006 – Striker
Systems today
announced support for AutoCAD 2007 next-generation design software from
Autodesk, Inc., the world's leading software and
services company for the building, manufacturing, infrastructure, media and
entertainment, and wireless data services fields.
AutoCAD
provides an ideal base for Striker Systems’ FAB Professional sheet metal
manufacturing software. The new conceptual design features of AutoCAD 2007,
along with the sheet metal nesting and NC programming functionality of FAB
Professional, provide a truly seamless and powerful CAD/CAM solution.
All phases of the manufacturing process, from design concept through NC
program creation, can be performed from the AutoCAD environment.
Striker Systems customers can also be confident knowing that their
manufacturing data is maintained in the standard AutoCAD DWG file format.
AutoCAD
2007 allows users to create, manage and share design information faster than
ever before. This is critical to
sheet metal fabrication operations, where lean manufacturing practices often
make for tight production cycles. FAB
Professional uses AutoCAD design data to generate the optimized nested layouts
and NC programs that drive CNC punching and cutting machines.
The expanded collaboration tools available in AutoCAD 2007 better
facilitate the production workflow, allowing design revisions to be quickly
communicated to all team members. AutoCAD
2007 and FAB Professional provide sheet metal fabricators with a competitive
advantage by increasing production throughput.
“Striker
Systems has shown its commitment to Autodesk and our joint customers by
delivering their products in conjunction with AutoCAD 2007 availability,” said
John Sanders, vice president of the Platform Technology Division at Autodesk.
"Through our partnership, we are helping customers realize their ideas.”
"Our
twenty year relationship with Autodesk continues to be a key component of our
success,” said Michael Boggs, who manages the Striker Systems distribution
channel. "With the release of AutoCAD 2007, our joint customers will continue
to reap the benefits of this ongoing partnership.”
